No matter what you are doing in your life right now, you should know that the economy is failing. If you are going to school, you are most likely struggling to afford basic needs. If you are living on your own and working a full time job, even you are probably falling short when the bills come in. As our economy gets worse, guys everywhere are finding the need to rely on their parents, their girlfriends, and their friends for support. Not only is it annoying to have to rely on other people to earn your living, but it is embarrassing. These are all reasons that finding a part time job can be so great. Finding a part time job in today’s world is easier said than done. Just remember that at the end of the month when you get your bills, if you have a part time job it will be a lot easier to make ends meet.

Where to Start in the Search for a Part Time Job
Part time jobs are usually less corporate than your daytime job or an actual career. Places like restaurants, bars, and construction companies are good places to look for weekend and some night time work hours. A lot of people are using bar tending to make money on the weekends. Bartending is good because it offers a lot of money for a little time, and it is a little more laid back than the jobs you are probably used to.

Look in your local newspaper before you look anywhere else. Finding a job is a lot easier when you know the places that you are applying are actually hiring. If a business posts an ad in a newspaper, chances are they really need the help. This means you are more likely to get a few hours here or there. There are also online classifieds that can be helpful. Keep looking every time you see a now hiring sign and don’t expect your part time job to pay as much as a full time career.

Finding a Part Time Job while you are looking for a Full Time Job
Some people need something small to get them by while they look for something bigger and better. This is a great way to bring in cash and make good use of your time. Seasonal jobs are the best places to do this, and they are easy to find in the winter and summer months.

If you are only looking for a part time job to hold you through for a couple of months, don’t be as picky. Remember, this is just to help you make money while you have time. Keep that in mind and don’t turn down a job because it doesn’t pay as much as you would like it to or because you don’t like the people there. You only have to deal with these things for a short while anyway. Whatever you do, don’t tell your part time employer that you are looking for a job to tide you over for a couple of weeks. Explain to him that you are just looking for a way to earn a little extra money during some life transitioning.

Staying Motivated in a Bad Economy
Your job search will most likely take a lot of effort. With unemployment rates going sky high, everyone will be looking for some extra cash. It is important that you don’t expect to just walk into one place and leave with a job. Keep yourself motivated and remember that these things take time, you just need to be as patient as possible.

Enjoy your time off too, even though you are without a job and things can seem negative enjoy your spare time and relax. You won’t have the opportunity to do much relaxing for very long, so take advantage of it while you have it.
